The Formula Hybrid project was a university extra-curricular devotion that rivaled the entire amount of coursework for the Mechanical Engineering undergraduate degree at Illinois Institute of Technology. The goal was to learn, plan, design, manufacture, test, and compete a hybrid vehicle at a international competition held for such vehicles; all on a cycle of one academic school year of September-May. The competition was scored by design, speed of the racecar, business proposal, and aesthetics.
